And… we’re almost done

No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow.  -Lin Yutang

It seems unbelievable that I’m sitting in a hotel room at a Heathrow airport to catch a flight out tomorrow. The trip has been a mix of excitement and relaxation. I do miss the cats. And my own bed. And driving on the right side of the road.

We’re headed down to the bar for a drink and a bite before settling down for the night. Our flight leaves very early in the morning (9:30) so we’re going to have to be out of here at some stupidly early hour. That’s mostly OK because we actually have gotten reset weirdly and have been up early most mornings.

More when I get back, including some stories of the trip. If I don’t post tomorrow Happy New Year!

Oh, and congrats to Kate and Al on entering a state of blissful matrimony.
