Summer marketing

I feel like we completely missed the month of June due to our insane travel schedule. However, summer is here now and the local farmers market is in full swing. Today we stopped by just to pick up some cucumbers and some fruit, because our CSA box comes next week. Then we got sucked into the orgy of beautiful produce.

10 ears of corn, 2 pounds of heirloom tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, peppers and nectarines. We also picked up a pasture raised chicken and some garlic/herb chevre and jalapeno jack cheese.

I’ll be firing up the grill soon to roast the corn and some of the other veggies. My brain is filled with thoughts of grilled corn and tomato salad, grilled corn and chicken stuffed peppers, barbeque chicken, tomato salad, grilled corn hot off the grill, the list is endless and the ingredients sublime.

I love this time of the year. So many fresh fruits and veggies with such wonderful flavors.
