Moonfest at NASA Ames

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11, NASA hosted Moonfest at Ames Research Center. Not only did we get to go check out Moffett field, but we also saw lots of model rockets go off.

I took a couple hundred pictures, but not all of them came out. I uploaded some to my flickr site. My favorites include:

Some of the rockets had very detailed paint jobs:

All in all, a fun day out. Now to rehydrate and get out of the sun.

  1. Hello, I was one of the organizers of Moonfest I wondered if we could use a couple of your photos in our NASA reports. If so, please send me an email with your full name providing NASA permission to use your Moonfest photos.

Thanks for enjoying our event with us!
