It’s cold and rainy here in the Bay Area and neither of us is feeling quite 100%. Steve’s building a robot, we’re discussing dinner tonight and our thanksgiving menu. It’s a quiet holiday for us and we don’t normally go the traditional turkey route.
Dinner tonight is going to be simple: roast chicken with peppercorn glazed sweet potatoes and roast broccoli.
We’ve decided on duck for thanksgiving. Not sure, yet, how we’re going to cook it. Potential meals are Pekin duck, roast duck or something else. But we’ve settled on duck. Happily, in the bay area I can get a decent fresh duck from the local markets on short notice.
But we have a couple days to settle the final menu. But a day of cooking sounds like the perfect solution to our overly hectic year.
